GENERAL RULES
1. Vendors are expected to behave courteously to customers, other vendors, and market volunteers.
2. Only products made, harvested, or grown in Alaska are allowed to be sold at Muldoon Farmers Market.
3. All vendors must be in compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations pertaining to products sold, wares, or services. Vendors must abide by the Municipality of Anchorage health department regulations for producing, sampling, and labeling food sold at the market. Vendors are responsible for the quality of their products and may not knowingly misrepresent any product offered for sale.
To meet the Municipality of Anchorage Department of Health and Human Services food-handling regulations, baked or cooked foods must be prepared in an a DHHS-approved kitchen. See Anchorage Health Department’s food safety page for more information.
4. Please talk with a market volunteer before selling anything other than what is on your original application. Market volunteers may be wearing orange vests for easy identification.
5. Vendors should be completely set up and ready to sell at the opening time of 9:30 am. Muldoon Farmers Market Volunteers arrive at the Market at 8:00 for set-up. For safety, no motorized vehicles are permitted within the park while the market is open. Vehicles may be driven *cautiously* back through the gate into the park at 3pm to pack up booths.
6. Each vendor must supply their own canopies, chairs, tables, and any other necessary equipment. All canopies must be appropriately secured and weighted to ensure safety. Tent canopies must have a manufacturer-applied tag with at least one of the three following certifications: NFPA 701 or CTAI 84 or State of California Fire Marshal. Vendors should be prepared for all types of weather.
7. Vendors with open flames must have a fire extinguisher at their booth and may not have an open flame or hot appliance under a canopy or umbrella.
8. Alcohol is prohibited in all municipal parks and facilities (unless a valid alcohol waiver is presented and displayed at the time of rental).
9. After the market closes, please clean up the booth area. Trash cans are provided for your convenience.
10. As parking is limited, Vendors are expected to park in the Muldoon Town Center lot behind Samurai Sushi (in front of the Muldoon Library) after they have set up in the park. There is a short paved trail between the mall parking lot and the market tents in the park.
